GMI website has new ‘products’ page.

We have added a new ‘products’ page to the GMI website. The resources here are from vendors that provide tools and equipment to Gonstead doctors around the world. You need tables, scopes, books and more to be a Gonstead doc.

GMI doesn’t make or sell this stuff, but we do buy it. And now we help you find it.

Check out the new products page here.

I tried going to the products page and found out I had to be a member to gain access. I didn’t know there was a membership for GMI. What do you have to do to be a member?

Just wondering if anyone knows the meaning behind the Gonstead symbol?

Dave, Sorry for the mixup. I had been testing a secure login for seminar attendees so that we can host video on the site securely. Didn’t realize this page got locked. Video is not live yet, but hopefully in the future it can be a great resource.

    Joey,
That is a good question, which I don’t know the answer to. The one story I have heard is that the symbol was presented to Dr. Gonstead. He turned it forty five degrees, because he felt like the original looked too much like an hour glass. He said “I may be old, but I am not running out of time yet,” and turned the symbol sideways to its current configuration.

The “Gonstead symbol” is a symbol used in architecture and surveying. You see it frequently in blueprints and land surveys. I’d be curious to know when Gonstead first adopted the symbol and if maybe he saw it on architectural drawings for one of his buildings and liked it? This is an article from my blog (http://chiropractichistory.blogspot.com/2010/02/architecture-and-chiropractic-cs.html) about Gonstead and his affinity for architecture, so perhaps he simply saw the simple on a blueprint and thought, “Gee, that’s cool…”

Did GM remove the product webpage? I noticed it still states that one needs to be a member, yet there is no place to sign up.

Got something to say?
